Inauguration of Verka Bassi Pathana Plant (Phase-1)

The first phase of Verka Mega Dairy at Bassi Pathana was inaugurated on 17.11.2021. The project has been completed at a cost of Rs. 138 crore with milk handling capacity of 2 lacs Litres per day. The project shall facilitate packaging of 6 months long shelf life milk and cream in tetra pack. The project was financed under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIFD) scheme and has been undertaken by National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) on turnkey basis. The objective of the project is to establish state-of-art energy efficient aseptic milk processing and packaging plant of 2 LLPD capacity with an aim to provide optimum remunerative value of milk supplied by milk producers and also to provide quality milk to the consumers in aseptic packaging.
